Makis Economou

Makis joined Innovis Pharma in 2018 as President & Managing Director.

Specialized in commercial management and integration, Makis is leading the transformation and growth of the company organically and via successful portfolio acquisitions.

Prior to that he served for many years as Country Manager for Teva Greece & Cyprus (previously Specifar Pharmaceuticals, acquired by Watson Pharmaceuticals). His long tenure in Specifar started in the position of Corporate Development Director. Upon the merger of Watson & Actavis Pharmaceuticals, he was appointed head of the group and led the Greek affiliate during all the M&A developments that followed (Allergan, Teva). Before that he was leading Opinion S.A., a marketing research agency, as Managing Partner.

Makis, also serving as board member in the Panhellenic Association of Pharmaceutical companies, holds a BSc. in Business Administration from Boston University and an MSc. in Corporate Finance from Bentley University.
